Painting frames
πΌοΈ What kind of paintings can be framed?
You can frame a painting if it is:
Painted on a wooden panel
β Order the frame's inner size based on glass size (the exact size of the panel minus 2 mm).
Painted on a stretched canvas
β Order the frame's inner size based on canvas size (the exact size of the canvas plus 5 mm).
We do not use glass or passe-partout for these types of frames. The painting is placed directly into the frame.
πͺ΅ Types of painting frames
We offer three main types of painting frames:
1. Float frame (Baklijst)
A float frame is an open frame where the painting appears to float inside the frame, without touching the edges. A gap remains between the painting and the frame:
Small paintings: Β±5 mm per side
Large paintings: Β±10 to Β±20 mm per side

2. Block frame (Bloklijst)
A block frame works the other way around: it sits on top of the painting, rather than around it. This creates a bold, powerful effect with added depth.

3. Classic painting frame
