Ordering advice
These Museum 45×44 mm 3D stretcher bars are sold per piece. For one frame you always order 2 pieces of length A + 2 pieces of length B.
- Example 40 × 50 cm: order 2 × 40 cm + 2 × 50 cm. No center bar needed (30–55 cm).
- Canvas allowance: keep at least +6 cm per side relative to the frame size.
- Depth: profile is 4.5 cm → canvas hangs floating/thick off the wall.

Can I assemble the stretcher frame myself?
Yes. Thanks to the tenon joint (9 mm) you can assemble the corners easily. Use a rubber mallet to tap everything square and tight. No glue or nails required. Wedges are included to re-tension the canvas later.
Do I need a center bar or cross bar?
Not for these sizes. The 30–55 cm version is supplied without a slot and needs no extra reinforcement.
Will this fit my existing stretcher bars?
Always use bars from the same series/profile (Museum 45×44 mm) for a perfect fit. Do not combine with other profiles.
Which canvases are suitable?
Canvas, linen and cotton. The 10 mm high lip ensures maximum distance between canvas and bar so no imprint is visible on the front.
What wood are the bars made of?
