Our 65 mm stretcher bars are proudly produced in the Netherlands with craftsmanship passed down from generation to generation since 1932. Thanks to this long tradition in woodworking, we guarantee durable quality, a perfect fit, and maximum stability.
All stretcher bars are made from premium pine wood, carefully selected and triple-laminated. This lamination technique minimises warping or twisting. The wood is 100% PEFC-certified (Certificate No. CU-PEFC-807830) and sourced from sustainably managed forests. Assembly is easy thanks to the tongue-and-groove connection – no glue or nails required – and wedges are always included free of charge.

By ordering per piece, you can create any desired stretcher frame size – from standard to custom sizes. This makes our 65 mm stretcher bars ideal for bespoke projects.

- 108 × 150 cm (42.5" × 59.1") → order 2 × 108 cm + 2 × 150 cm + cross bar 108 × 150 cm
- 53 × 120 cm (20.9" × 47.2") → order 2 × 53 cm + 2 × 120 cm + centre bar 53 cm
- 100 × 80 cm (39.4" × 31.5") → order 2 × 100 cm + 2 × 80 cm without centre or cross bar

Frames over 2 metres are supplied with a double cross.
When Do You Need a Centre Bar?
Our stretcher bars from 50 cm (19.7") upwards have a standard slot/notch allowing a centre bar to be slotted in like a puzzle piece.
Use a centre bar when the longest side is over 120 cm (47.2") and the canvas is rectangular.
When Do You Need a Cross Bar?
A cross bar is used when both the height and width exceed 100 cm (39.4") and the canvas is nearly square.
Our centre bars from 50 cm have a standard notch so that two centre bars can be slotted together like a puzzle in the middle, forming a cross. This cross then fits puzzle-like into the stretcher frame slots.
Important
Note: 65 mm stretcher bars and/or centre bars cannot be combined with 45 mm.

- Do I always need a centre or cross bar? Not always; for large sizes, extra reinforcement is strongly recommended.
